Mars Phoenix Lander Officially Dead.
This time marks the passing of a scientific giant: after months of entertaining us with its gleeful tweets as it discovered sublimating water and rain on Mars, the Mars Phoenix lander has finally gone silent, suspected frozen to death on the surface of Mars as the harsh Martian Winter settled upon its landing site.
One last tweet was transmitted from our beloved little lander:
