NASA's Mars Spirit Rover Lives!

NASA headquarters mourned the loss of the Mars Phoenix lander a few days ago, but good news recently came back from Mars in the form of a chirp from the Mars Spirit rover!

It's alive!

The spunky little rover has survived through the harsh winter of the southern Martian hemisphere and is currently weathering a dust storm, but managed to pull together enough power to start communications with Earth again.

Amazing news for NASA, as this little guy has survived for well past its mission life expectancy. Here's to many more months of Spirit roving the surface of Mars!
