President-Elect Obama Launches Change.gov

change_gov_logo_obama.jpg

It's only been a few days since the election, he's not even in office yet, and President-Elect Obama is already making good on his promises of higher government transparency and more tech-oriented administration that led to our endorsement by launching Change.gov

The website serves as a one-stop information source on the transition as the Obama administration gets ready to take over the reins of the country, and even goes so far as asking visitors for any ideas they may have to change the government for the better.

The site also has a job application section where you can apply to become part of the Obama administration!

The Obama tech news doesn't stop there, as in the last few days no less than three web executives have been named as advisors to the Obama administration: Julius Genachowski of Launchbox Digital and Sonal Shah of Google.org are now part of the transition team, while Google CEO Eric Schmidt is now part of Obama's economic advisory board.

Seems like we're finally getting a tech-friendly White House!
