UPDATE: Wii Family Bundle @Sam's Club Ad Fake!

Alrighty, so you remember the Black Friday "Wii Family Bundle" ad that we posted last week? The one with the $224 price tag for the Wii, 2 extra wii-motes/nunchucks and 2 extra games that sounded too good to be true?

Yeah, it was.

Santa posted on Walmart's official blog to inform us all on the Internets that we got the ad wrong, and the new, corrected ad shows the price for the bundle at a substantially less mind-boggling $425.

Yeah, bummer.

But Walmart isn't stopping there; they've pulled out the lawyers and are sending them to chase down the person responsible for the fake ad. They've asked TechCrunch to take down their original post with the fake ad and help them track down who sent it and shopped it around. Rightly, TechCrunch told them to stuff it.

Oh, Internets, is there anything you cannot make unnecessary drama out of?
