Boxee Ressurects Hulu Support Thanks To RSS

Boxee's new alpha version of its media player includes a built-in RSS reader optimized for video and capable of streaming video from sources like YouTube, Yahoo, and... Hulu.

While you still won't find Hulu content integrated on Boxee proper, Mac and Ubuntu Linux Boxee users can now access Hulu programming through this new RSS feature. It works, but Boxee doesn't deny that the interface doesn't provide the same experience.

Also included in the new software build is the App Box, which as its name suggests is not all that dissimilar to the iTunes App Store and aims to make it easier to expand Boxee's functionality with plugins and other software from both Boxee and third parties.

As for PC users, still no love.
