RIAA "History By Tuesday"
It seems that as a result of the economy and the dropping of their 5 year litigious crusade against grandmas and 5 year olds everywhere, the RIAA is currently experiencing massive layoffs.
An unconfirmed source told Hypebot that "[The] RIAA as you know it is probably history by Tuesday of next week" and that an announcement regarding the change would "drop next week."
As a recently unemployed individual, I can't get too much joy out of news of people being laid off, even from such an evil entity as the RIAA, but if this means a change away from the dark side, then this could be good news.
It seems the plan is to combine the remaining bits of the RIAA that somehow didn't get a pink slip with the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, the international version of the RIAA) in order to coordinate efforts into a worldwide agenda.
We'll see if the new RIAA infused IFPI goes after grandmas worldwide.
